Job summary

Riverside Health System in Hampton, Virginia is seeking a part-time Psych Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Labor Pool in the Psych ED. The RN provides assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients in the Emergency Services complex, under supervision of the Nurse Manager and Director.

Qualifications include active Virginia RN license, BLS/CPR, and behavioral health experience; ACLS within 180 days preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year nursing experience in a behavioral health setting.
• 2 years registered nursing experience preferred.
• RN license in Virginia (Required).
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within 180 Days (Preferred).
• Specialty certification in field (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate total nursing care.
• Supervise and delegate non-professional personnel.
• Provide age-appropriate care for Emergency Services patients.
• Educate and coordinate patient education and discharge planning with family/caregiver.
• Document clinical and quality data per Riverside Health System standards.
