Job summary

Minnesota City Jobs is seeking a park and grounds maintenance worker to care for the city’s parks, trails, marina and beaches. You will operate a variety of equipment, inspect tools, and participate in snow and ice control as well as rink construction.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of equipment experience, a Class A CDL within 12 months, and on-call availability for weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 year experience operating and maintaining park and grounds maintenance equipment.
• Possess a valid class A commercial driver's license within 12 months of hire date.
• Enrolled in FMCSA CDL Clearinghouse at the time of interview.
• Available to be on call for weekend and holiday work.
• Must be able to respond to the public works facility within 45 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain city parks, grounds, and trail system; operate a wide range of equipment and tools.
• Perform inspection and routine maintenance on assigned tools/equipment and ensure safety of amenities.
• Snow removal and ice control tasks as needed; may supervise seasonal staff.
• Assist with construction/maintenance of seasonal ice rinks and support other divisions when requested.
