Job summary

GoMining is seeking a PSU Repair Engineer in Fountain Inn, SC, to diagnose and repair power supplies for a large Bitcoin mining fleet. You’ll handle component-level repair, SMD/BGA work, and board diagnostics at our data-center scale, with relocation assistance available for candidates nationwide.

The role emphasizes hands-on electronics, PCB repair, and maintaining detailed repair records, while collaborating with site management to maximize uptime across the fleet.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on component-level repair of Bitcoin mining equipment.
• Experience with Bitmain power supplies, including APW11, APW12 and APW17.
• Experience with MicroBT WhatsMiner equipment and power supplies.
• Ability to read schematics, board diagrams and datasheets.
• Strong understanding of PSU architecture and diagnostic methods.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair power supply units used in Bitmain and MicroBT mining equipment boards.
• Perform component-level diagnostics on power supply circuits and electronic systems.
• Troubleshoot IC failures, voltage irregularities, short circuits and PCB-level faults.
• Perform SMD and BGA soldering, rework and component replacement.
• Repair and restore power circuits, control boards and other electronic assemblies.
• Configure, test and commission repaired equipment.
• Keep accurate repair records, inventory information and technical documentation.
• Work with technicians, engineers and site management to maximize fleet uptime.
• Support preventive maintenance and equipment optimization.
