Full Time Night Shift (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) RN Post Surgical Unit (Med-Surg) Week Night and Weekend Shifts Available

Facility Description:

Work in a hospital where YOU will have the time to take great care of your patients! Located at the “crossroads” of the city, close to downtown, Bricktown, with great access to all areas of the city.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with medical and nursing plans of care and established policies and procedures.
  2. Provide nursing services to patients and families within the scope of RN practice as defined by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
  3. Participate in identifying clinical or operational performance improvement opportunities and assist in performance improvement activities.
  4. Maintain the environment of care, including equipment and material resources.
  5. Engage in professional development by maintaining required competencies and seeking educational opportunities.
  6. Support the development of other staff and learners.
  7. Communicate the organization’s vision, mission, and values; observe safety policies and procedures.
  8. Complete Annual Hospital Core and Nursing Competency Verifications.
  9. Implement new techniques or troubleshoot equipment as needed, with instruction and supervision.
  10. Respond appropriately to emergency procedures, chemical spills, and disaster plans.
  11. Report incidents promptly and complete incident reports accurately.
  12. Recognize and respect patients’ and families’ cultural values and beliefs.

Qualifications:

  • Oklahoma RN License
  • BLS, ACLS; PALS preferred
  • Experience on a med/surg floor, preferably with post-surgical patients
  • Orthopedic experience preferred; ED experience helpful but not required

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required

License:

  • Oklahoma RN license required
