Job summary

La Clinica de Familia in southern New Mexico seeks a Non-Exempt PSR Driver/Instructor to transport members to activities and appointments and to teach a National curriculum, guiding participation and progress within the program.

The role combines transportation duties with instructional duties, enabling members to engage in recovery activities and learn essential skills daily.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation, Education or related field plus 1 year of relevant experience.
• Associate’s degree in human services plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for PSR members to and from home and program.
• Instruct and teach PSR members daily using a National curriculum.
• Support recovery goals with guidance and documentation.

Job Summary:

Provides a combination of duties related to both driving and instruction for the psychosocial rehabilitation program. The individual’s primary duties are associated with the transportation of the PSR members to and from home and the program including other appointments, social activities and community resources as needed. The individual’s secondary duties are as an instructor who will provide education and guidance to members of the PSR program. Encourages each member to fulfill their goals and functioning at their highest potential following a core set of principles and values. Individual will instruct and teach members on a daily basis providing materials and knowledge on various aspects of treatment and topics of interest from a pre-approved National curriculum. The individual will also fulfill duties related to transportation of the PSR members to and from home and the program including other appointments, social activities and community resources as needed.

• Knowledge of New Mexico behavioral health systems.
• Ability to engage peers in recovery plan.

• Uses good judgment as it relates to PSR clients.
• Knowledge of confidentiality, ethics and boundary issues related to peer support.

Job Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation, Education or a related human services field from an accredited university and one year of relevant experience with the target population or
• Hold anAssociate’sdegree in a human services or related fields from an accredited university plus two years of relevant experience with the target population and functional areas taught or
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and four years of relevant experience with the target population and functional areas taught.
