Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. in Sarasota, FL is seeking a PSM Project Surveyor / PM to lead the technical production of survey projects, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery.

You will organize field work, supervise technicians, and collaborate with the project manager. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Surveying, a PSM license, 5+ years in land surveying and geomatics (topographic/boundary, construction staking for Civil projects), and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Surveying preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
  • PSM Professional Land Surveying License required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Land Surveying & Geomatics including Topographic & Boundary surveying, Construction staking for large Civil Land Development projects.
  • Prior FDOT project experience is highly desired (Districts 1, 4, 7).
  • Must have valid driver’s license, an acceptable motor vehicle record, a cleared criminal background check and drug test.
  • Strong technical and interpersonal skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the production to cover all details so that the quality is present, and budgets and schedules are met.
  • Direct field work and communicate with project manager and CAD technicians.
  • Organize technical production and ensure quality control and regulatory compliance.

OVERVIEW

Our PSM Project Surveyor / PM is responsible for the technical production of survey projects. The major objectives are the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity and meets regulatory requirements) of work, meeting schedules, within budgets and responsive service to client. Organize technical production, direct field work, checking work (quality control) and communicating with project manager.

DURING YOUR WORK DAY, YOU WILL:
  • Be responsible for the technical and professional production of survey project(s).
  • Work with these primary objectives: quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity and meets regulatory requirements) of work, meeting schedules, within budgets and responsive service to client.
  • Organize technical production, direct field work, check work (quality control) and communicate with others.
  • Coordinate the production to cover all details so that the quality is present, and budgets and schedules are met.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Surveying preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
  • PSM Professional Land Surveying License required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Land Surveying & Geomatics including Topographic & Boundary surveying, Construction staking for large Civil Land Development projects.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D along with Trimble Business Center strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience working FDOT projects is highly desired (Districts 1, 4, 7)
