Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. seeks a PSM Project Surveyor / PM responsible for the technical production of survey projects, ensuring accuracy, clarity, regulatory compliance, and on-time delivery.

You will organize production, direct field crews, and perform quality checks while coordinating with the project manager. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in surveying (or equivalent), a PSM license, 5+ years in land surveying, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • PSM Professional Land Surveying License required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Land Surveying & Geomatics including Topographic & Boundary surveying.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center strongly preferred.

Job description

OVERVIEW: Our PSM Project Surveyor / PM is responsible for the technical production of survey projects. The major objectives are the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity and meets regulatory requirements) of work, meeting schedules, within budgets and responsive service to client. Organize technical production, direct field work, checking work (quality control) and communicating with project manager.

DURING YOUR WORK DAY, YOU WILL:

  • Be responsible for the technical and professional production of survey project(s).
  • Work with these primary objectives: quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity and meets regulatory requirements) of work, meeting schedules, within budgets and responsive service to client.
  • Organize technical production, direct field work, check work (quality control) and communicate with others.
  • Coordinate the production to cover all details so that the quality is present, and budgets and schedules are met.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Surveying preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
  • PSM Professional Land Surveying License required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Land Surveying & Geomatics including Topographic & Boundary surveying, Construction staking for large Civil Land Development projects.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D along with Trimble Business Center strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience working FDOT projects is highly desired
  • Strong technical and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Behavioral traits of process oriented, steady, helpful, analytical, problem solver, methodical, consistent, detail oriented, precise, hates mistakes.
  • Must be able to work and communicate with field crews and CAD technicians.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, an acceptable motor vehicle record, a cleared criminal background check and drug test.
