Job summary

Hitachi Rail Honolulu JV is seeking a PSG Technician/Maintenance Technician in Pearl City, Hawaii to perform routine and emergency maintenance on Platform Screen Gates systems. You will inspect, test, lubricate and adjust PSG equipment, read schematics and operate diagnostic tools to prevent failures.

The role requires 1–3 years in electronic equipment maintenance, safety rule knowledge, and the ability to work on complex electrical systems.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience in electronic equipment maintenance.
• Ability to use common and specialized tools and test equipment.
• Knowledge of safety rules regarding lock-out protection while on the line and traffic protection rules.
• Ability to use and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals and operating rules for PSG system.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive and unscheduled maintenance on PSG equipment.
• Observe system components to detect failures and locate causes.
• Respond to malfunctions and complete repairs as assigned.
• Use electronic test equipment and specialized tools as required.
• Complete maintenance and diagnostic reports and records.
• Participate in training programs and follow safety rules.
• Work shift rotations, including weekends/holidays as required for major projects.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance tasks and results.
