Job summary

Hitachi Rail Honolulu JV is seeking an enthusiastic PSG Technician/Maintenance Technician to support the Honolulu Rail Project. Based in Pearl City, HI, you will perform routine, preventive, and unscheduled maintenance on PSG equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

The role requires 1-3 years of electronics maintenance, ability to read schematics and operate test equipment, and a valid US driver's license. Shift rotations include weekends and holidays in a major infrastructure setting.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience in electronic equipment maintenance.
• Ability to use common and specialized tools and test equipment.
• Knowledge of lock-out protection rules while working on the line.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams and interpret maintenance manuals.
• Must have a valid US state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine, preventive and unscheduled maintenance on PSG equipment.
• Observes PSG components to detect potential failures and locate causes of malfunction.
• Responds to PSG malfunctions and completes repairs as assigned using test equipment.
• Completes operational, equipment failure and safety reports as required.
• Participates in training programs and complies with safety rules and procedures.
• Role requires shift rotation including weekends and holidays in major infrastructure projects.
• Work near the third rail and use red tag procedures and hot sticks as required.
• Maintains and documents maintenance records and diagnostic data.
• Supports substation fault diagnosis, inspection and maintenance tasks.
• Ensures calibration and condition of tools and equipment.
