The City University of New York School of Medicine seeks an Associate Dean for Admissions and Engagement to lead recruitment, evaluation, and enrollment operations across the admissions funnel.
This executive role partners with financial aid, implements CRM and analytics, and ensures LCME/ARC-PA compliance while guiding staff and committees.
The City University of New York (CUNY) School of Medicine (SoM) is the only medical school in the CUNY system. Our innovative curriculum allows students to complete both their undergraduate Bachelor of Science (BS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees in seven years. CUNY SoM graduated its first MD class in 2020. In addition, the CUNY SoM offers a two-year Physician Assistant (PA) program to prepare health professionals licensed to practice medicine with physician supervision. Our mission is 1) to provide access to medical education to talented youth from historically underrepresented in backgrounds in medicine and to develop health professionals committed to practicing in under-served communities and 2) to perform innovative research in community health and biomedicine.
The Associate Dean for Admissions will provide strategic leadership for student recruitment, application evaluation, and enrollment operations. They manage the entire admissions pipeline, from outreach and marketing to interviews and final candidate selection. They align class composition with the CUNY SoM's academic standards, goals, and values. They will make the final decisions on acceptances, waitlists, and rejections. Their decision-making is based upon mission alignment. The Associate Dean partners with the financial aid office to allocate scholarships and grants. They will ensure strategic enrollment management while overseeing admissions procedures and policies.

This position is in CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience.
Professional School Associate Dean
Salary Range: $109,554 - $225,000 Salary commensurate with education and experience.
