Job summary

Intrado Life & Safety, Inc. is seeking a PSAP (911) IT Field Technician (Level 3) to support our life and safety systems across Louisiana, with a focus near Baton Rouge and Jefferson Parish.

The role involves installing and maintaining call handling and dispatch software and hardware on customer sites, traveling extensively as needed. You will lead on-site deployments, provide remote support, and participate in the development of procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of technical customer service and installation or software training experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience with networking, Windows based servers and workstations.
• Two years of experience with Oracle and SQL preferred.
• Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, MCSE) preferred.
• Telephony knowledge (MDF, tip and ring, POTS, etc.) preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Word and Excel required.
• On-call and night shift work dependent on customer request/updates (11pm-6am).

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to co-workers on best approaches and lessons learned.
• Prepare reports, material and documentation as requested.
• May update project plan.
• Develop MOPs (Methods of Procedures).
• Train and mentor assigned co-workers as necessary.
• Provide remote support to customers and service technicians as needed.
• Document issues thoroughly and maintain department files.
• Travel for on-site installations and support across Louisiana.
