Job summary

METRIX IT SOLUTIONS INC is seeking engineers with 5+ years’ experience in Linux and Windows operating systems, plus strong C, Java and Oracle SQL skills. The role covers system configuration, live fixes on customer systems, and hands-on GitHub/ClearCase work in mission-critical environments.

Strong debugging and communication abilities are essential as you collaborate with utilities/ISOs on software specs, design, and delivery. Proficiency with logs, shell scripting and OA tools is expected.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• 5 years experience with C, Java & Oracle Database SQL, shell scripting, ability to read and interpret logs & debug files.
• System configuration and Hands on Experience in GitHub and ClearCase.
• 5 years experience on Real-time or Mission Critical Systems.
• Must have experience in picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems; Proven track record of problem analysis, identification and resolution.
• Strong troubleshooting & debugging skills; Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and MS Outlook competency; Reliance experience.
• Object-Oriented programming techniques, Oracle, and/or system administration experience a plus.

• 5 years of experience with C, Java & Oracle Database SQL, shell scripting, ability to read and interpret logs & debug files Installation of Operating system patches and other 3rd Party Software such as Oracle, NetApp etc.
• System configuration and Hands on Experience in GitHub and ClearCase
• 5 years experience on Realtime or Mission Critical Systems
• Must have experience in picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems Proven track record of problem analysis, identification and resolution
• Strong troubleshooting & debugging skills
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• MS office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and MS Outlook competency Reliance (Formerly known as XA/21) experience
• Object-Oriented programming techniques, Oracle, and/or system administration, is a plus Reliance grid apps domain
• Responsible for advanced Power Systems Application software development and successful delivery of assigned functions to meet corporate project/product commitments.
• The responsibilities include: working with Electric Utilities or ISOs (Independent System Operators) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs) on functional software specifications, designing, coding, testing, integration, application tuning and delivery.
