Job summary

Disney Parks - The Walt Disney Company in Southern California is seeking a Pruner to provide day-to-day tree care for the Disneyland Resort urban forest under the direction of an Arboricultural Manager. Duties include maintaining trees and Resort aesthetics to fit the theme while ensuring guest and Cast Member comfort and safety.

This full-time position requires a valid California driver’s license and WC-CTW certification (or ability to obtain).

Qualifications

• Requires the ability to perform the duties listed under Responsibilities.
• Must have a California Driver’s License.
• Must possess WC-CTW certification or be able to obtain it.
• At least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day tree care for the Disneyland Resort urban forest.
• Maintain trees and Resort aesthetics per the assigned area.
• Ensure guest and cast member safety and comfort while performing duties.

At Disneyland® Resort, a Pruner provides day-to-day tree care for the Resort urban forest, under the direction of an Arboricultural Manager. Duties include maintaining trees and Resort aesthetics in accordance with the appropriate theme of the specific area of the property while ensuring the comfort and safety of our Guests and Cast Members.

• Must be open to any shift (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift) including holidays, with any combination of days off

Qualifications

• Must have experience performing the duties and actions listed under Responsibilities, above.


• Must have a valid California Driver’s License


• Must possess a Western Chapter Certified Tree Worker (WC-CTW) certification or the level of ability to obtain a Certified Tree Worker qualification


• At least 18 years of age

Additional Information

Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; Shifts may start as early as 2:00 AM, while some may end as late as 10:30 AM.

This roles is Full Time and requires full availability, including working evenings, weekends and holidays when needed.

The pay rate for this role in California is $31.51 to $38.37 per hour, which follows the pay scale agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
