Job summary

Godwins Wellness Services LLC is seeking a dedicated mentor to work with a mixed caseload of youth and adults in community settings. The role focuses on weekly in-person sessions, with extra support available in homes, schools, or other locations.

You will document progress, participate in supervision, and help clients set and achieve personal goals while coordinating with mental health professionals as needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 21 years old or older.
• Experience in mental/behavioral health settings is a plus.
• Interest and passion for behavioral health field.
• Comfort using Zoom, Google Hangouts, or WebEx and online learning platforms.
• Ability to manage group communications via video, email, or chat.
• Mature, self-starter with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of clients (youth and adults).
• Provide in-person, community-based mentoring through weekly sessions with each client.
• Offer extra sessions at home, school, or community locations as needed.
• Report to the office at least one hour four times a week.
• Assist clients with goal planning and achievement.
• Attend bi-weekly supervision with Rehab Specialist or Clinical Director.
• Keep client files current with consents and monthly summaries.
• Encourage peer-to-peer tutoring and support when appropriate.
• Review daily assignments and follow up as needed.
• Administer and document feedback surveys provided by the Company.
• Refer clients to technical, mental health, or additional resources as needed.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a caseload of clients (mix of youth and adults).
• Provide in-person, community-based mentoring through weekly sessions with each client and extra sessions for clients who need additional support in homes, schools, or community locations.
• (6) visits of one hour per month for clients over the age of 18 & (3) visits of one hour for clients under the age of 18.
• Report to the office at least one hour four times a week.
• Assist assigned clients with goal planning and achievement.
• Attend bi-weekly virtual or in-person supervision with assigned Rehabilitation Specialist or Clinical Director.
• Ensure that assigned client files are current and complete with appropriate consents and documentation to include BIRP notes and monthly summaries.
• Encourage and facilitate peer-to-peer tutoring and support where appropriate.
• Review and ensure daily completion of assignments and follow-up as necessary.
• Administer and document feedback surveys provided by the Company.
• Refer clients to technical, mental health, or additional resources, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: a minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D.
• At least 21 years old.
• Experience in a mental or behavioral health setting through teaching, coaching, volunteering, or another similar environment is a plus.
• Interest and passion for working in the behavioral health industry
• Technology and online communication:
• Comfort using Zoom, Google Hangouts, or WebEx and online learning platforms to facilitate learning
• Ability to manage and facilitate youth cohort communications via group video conferencing, email or instant messaging app, and one-on-one mentoring relationship
• Mature, self-starter with the desire and ability to initiate and execute

Additional Requirements:

• Access to a computer or laptop with a microphone and camera and high-speed internet capabilities
• Ability to pass a mandatory criminal background check and drug screen
• Ability to create, maintain a schedule based on client availability weekly
• Ability to report to work regular work hours, weekend, evenings and some holidays, Monday - Sunday
