Job summary

PVH - PVHardware is seeking a skilled Draftsman to join our US technical group supporting US based utility solar projects by providing cost-efficient designs and layouts.

As part of our solar tracker and fixed-tilt solution team, you will manage CAD templates, evaluate customer layouts, and collaborate with sales and engineering to optimize tracks, boundaries, hydrology, and topography for bids and project delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Draftsman
• Proficiency with AutoCAD software
• Analytical and creative approach for optimizing layouts
• Proficiency with Excel
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing requirements

Responsibilities

• Work within the US technical group supporting US based utility solar projects by providing cost-efficient designs and layouts.
• Evaluate customer layouts, keep outs, site boundaries, hydrology considerations, and topography to adapt and optimize tracker and fixed tilt racking layouts.
• Conduct slope analysis and preliminary grading studies for optimal project outcomes.
• Manage CAD templates and files for organized drafting processes.
• Collaborate with sales and technical teams to gather project requirements and ensure internal communication.
• Interact with customer engineering, procurement, and sales reps to address project queries and provide technical support.

PVH - PVHardware is a provider of innovative solar tracking solutions for the global utility-scale solar market, including trackers, fixed structures and SCADA system. Yet, we are the third largest solar tracker supplier in the world and aiming to be the leader in the industry!

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Draftsman in a relevant field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD software.
• Possess an analytical and creative approach for optimizing layouts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing requirements.

Desired Skills

• Solar design knowledge, both electrical and mechanical aspects.
• Ground mounted solar experience is a great asset.
• Familiarity with dynamic blocks, LISP, CAD scripting, and automation.
• Experience with PVCase software, is a plus.

• Manage CAD templates and files to maintain a well-organized and efficient drafting process.
• Internal: Collaborate with sales and technical teams to gather project requirements and ensure smooth communication within the organization.
• External: Interact with customer engineering, procurement, and sales representatives to address project-related queries and provide necessary technical support.
