Job summary

The Williamsburg Winery in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a dependable Provisions & Barback Associate for Thursday–Sunday shifts (1:00 PM–7:30 PM) to support daily Tasting Room operations. You will prepare provisions, stock supplies, and assist at the tasting bar while keeping areas clean and organized.

This full-time role (approximately 30 hours/week) requires guests-focused service, accurate inventory, and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current ServSafe Food Handler Certification and be able to work the Thursday–Sunday schedule.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining cleanliness.
• Strong attention to hygiene, cleanliness, and organization in a hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble provisions and light food offerings.
• Restock wine, glassware, water, ice, food items, and bar supplies.
• Clear and clean glassware, tables, counters, and service areas; wash and polish glassware.
• Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies run low.
• Assist with opening, closing, and end-of-day cleaning duties.

Position Summary

The Williamsburg Winery is seeking a dependable and energetic Provisions & Barback Associate to support daily Tasting Room operations. This position will assist with preparing provisions, stocking supplies, supporting the tasting bar, and keeping service areas clean and organized.

Schedule

Thursday through Sunday, 1:00 PM–7:30 PM

Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble provisions and light food offerings
• Restock wine, glassware, water, ice, food items, and other bar supplies
• Clear and clean glassware, tables, counters, and service areas
• Wash and polish glassware as needed
• Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies are running low
• Assist with opening, closing, and end-of-day cleaning duties
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol-service requirements
• Provide friendly and professional assistance to guests and team members
• Complete additional Tasting Room duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Current ServSafe Food Handler Certification is required
• Dependable and able to consistently work the required Thursday–Sunday schedule
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 pounds
• Prior restaurant, barback, food-service, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required
• Must meet all applicable age requirements for duties involving alcohol

Employment Type

Full-time, approximately 30 hours per week

Compensation

• $5.00 per hour plus tips
• Guaranteed minimum earnings of $20.00 per hour
