Job summary

CMIT Solutions National Corp. is seeking a detail-oriented IT Hardware Provisioning and Workstation Deployment Technician. You will provision, deploy, decommission, and document workstation deployments while assisting with remote networking equipment setup, in-house.

You will manage OS configurations, track assets, prepare hardware, and maintain knowledge base articles, ensuring timely updates to tickets and collaboration with engineering to meet client deadlines in a fast-paced MSP environment.

Responsibilities

• Configure new computers, laptops, and other devices according to client specifications.
• Maintain accurate inventory of all client IT assets using our tracking system.
• Process new equipment requests and prepare hardware for distribution.
• Document processes and maintain knowledge base articles.
• Support client environments with hardware shipping, scheduling, and remote deployment of workstations and laptops.
• Update tickets with clean notes, time entries and status changes.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager to meet client deadlines and requirements.

Provisioning and Workstation Deployment Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Hardware Provisioning and Workstation Deployment Technician. In this role, the Provisioning Technician is an in-house resource who provisions, deploys, decommissions, and documents all workstation deployments. The technician will also assist is setting up and deploying remotely Networking equipment.The ideal candidate has excellent technical skills, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional client support.

• Percentage of Hours Worked Actually Billable
  • Proportion of total hours worked that are billable towards provisioning and deployment of workstations.
• Communication and Documentation
  • Measure of clarity, consistency, and completeness of technician communication and documentation in Autotask and IT Glue.
• Accuracy and Timeliness
  • Measurement of how accurately work is completed and how consistent tasks are completed on time within the ticket or project.
