Job summary

BestMed Clinics in Woodburn, OR is seeking Licensed Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our urgent care and occupational medicine team. You will provide outpatient care in a busy clinic setting with support from experienced clinicians and modern facilities.

You will deliver patient-centered care, perform procedures appropriate for urgent care, maintain accurate charting in our EMR, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to keep patients out of the hospital.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PA or NP license in the state or the ability to obtain.
• DOT certification within 60 days of hire.
• DEA licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on an outpatient basis in an urgent care setting.
• Deliver care, treatment, and referrals as needed.
• Arrange referrals for specialties not provided by the organization.
• Evaluate patients, perform exams, establish diagnosis and treatment plan.
• Perform clinical procedures within scope and skills.
• Communicate diagnosis and treatment goals to patients.
• Maintain accurate, concise EMR documentation with proper coding.
• Ability to perform occupational and telemedicine patient care.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as lab and x-ray review.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care on an outpatient basis to include procedures normally performed in an urgent care setting
• Responsible for the delivery of care, treatment, and referrals.
• Arrange for referral resources for those medical specialties not provided by the organization for patients of the clinic
• Evaluate patients to determine the medical condition of the patient, through the performance of physical examinations, thereby, establishing a diagnosis and proposed treatment plan
• Perform such clinical procedures for patient's benefit which are within scope and skill of practitioner
• Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
• Maintains accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation with a focus on proper level coding and clinical documentation integrity (CDI) in the electronic medical record
• Ability to perform occupational and telemedicine patient care
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as lab and x‑ray review
• Perform other job‑related duties as may be assigned by the Medical Director

Compensation:

Pay is based on experience, skills and falls within an established range.
