Acentra Health is looking for a Provider Relations Professional, Mid to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The Provider Relations Professional serves as a key liaison between Acentra Health and our clients provider network, fostering strong relationships through proactive outreach, engagement, and ongoing communication. This role supports care coordination and referral activities by maintaining provider network coverage, responding to provider inquiries, and ensuring timely and accurate documentation of provider interactions. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, highly organized, and committed to delivering exceptional provider support while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and HIPAA regulations.

This position is remote within California

This role requires a valid driver's license and travel to various locations

Travel expenses—including mileage and parking are covered and reimbursed by Acentra Health. We will provide all necessary technology equipment for your home office, including a laptop for use in the field

• Serve as the lead agents for provider outreach and engagement initiatives, fostering strong relationships within the provider network.
• Manage and maintain provider communication through in-person meetings, telephone interactions, and the Provider Relations email platform.
• Ensure adequate provider network coverage and capacity within the assigned region to support Care Coordinator outreach efforts and client referral needs.
• Respond promptly to provider inquiries, monitor key operational processes, and provide regular updates and reporting to the Provider Relations and Care Coordination teams.
• Represent Acentra Health professionally and effectively in all interactions with providers, promoting positive relationships and organizational objectives.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all provider interactions in accordance with established procedures and standards.
• Support providers by addressing routine questions, verifying active Fee-for-Service (FFS) status, and facilitating issue resolution as needed.
• Comply with all corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, ensuring the confidentiality and protection of sensitive information.
• Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR will consider 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree (total of 9 years).
• A minimum of 3+ years of provider outreach, provider relations, or related healthcare experience.
• Managed high-volume inbound and outbound calls.
• Excellent teamwork and customer service skills.
• Must reside in California.
• Must be willing to travel up to 25% locally within California.

Experience in Lieu of Degree

For non-clinical roles, or when not required by the contract specifically, the Company acknowledges that practical, hands-on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree may be required, the Company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidate has an Associate's degree, the Company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.
