Job summary

Viva Health, part of the UAB Health System, seeks a Provider Programs Administrator in Birmingham, AL. The role blends onsite and some work-from-home opportunities, supporting Provider Services with project tracking and executive communications.

You will manage calendars, coordinate committees, and prepare materials for leadership, while maintaining confidentiality and exercising independent judgment on routine administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years’ professional experience in administrative support, project coordination, or related role.
• Ability to create structure, visibility and follow-through across multiple departments and levels.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
• Understanding of project management methodology and administrative discipline to facilitate meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level operations and administrative support to the Provider Services department.
• Track deliverables, maintain logs of milestones, deadlines, risks, and decisions.
• Coordinate communications and prepare materials for leadership and committee meetings.
• Schedule and record minutes for leadership meetings and joint operating committee meetings.
• Triage inquiries from external partners and route to appropriate leaders.
• Process check requests and other recurring financial transactions and assist with policy updates.
