Job summary

Munson Healthcare, northern Michigan’s largest health system, seeks an Onboarding Specialist to lead end-to-end onboarding and retention for new physicians and providers. You will guide candidates and Medical Staff leaders through requisition, recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, retention and off-boarding, ensuring a consistent experience across employed, affiliated, and independent providers.

A bachelor’s degree in a health-related field and at least one year in ambulatory practice

• The Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating a seamless end-to-end onboarding and retention experience for new physicians and providers. Serves as a resource and guide to both candidates and Medical Staff leaders in the requisition, recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, retention and off-boarding processes. The Onboarding Specialist supports the onboarding and integration of employed, affiliated, and independent providers, ensuring a consistent onboarding experience and fostering provider engagement across the Munson Healthcare system.

What’s Required

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field
• 1 year in Ambulatory practice management, medical staff/physician services, hospital credentialing, physician recruitment, or related field

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
