Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance is seeking a Provider Onboarding & Licensing Specialist responsible for managing onboarding and licensing for all new TOA providers, including physicians, APPs, and PT/OT staff. You will ensure licensure, CAQH verification, and CME compliance to keep providers ready to practice on schedule.

In this role you will maintain provider profiles in the credentialing database, coordinate renewals, and collaborate with credentialing, compliance, and payer enrollment teams

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in provider onboarding, licensing, or credentialing.
• Experience with CAQH, DEA renewals, and state licensure processes required.
• Familiarity with CMD or similar credentialing database strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates onboarding of all new providers (physicians, mid-level providers, PT/OT staff).
• Assists providers with Tennessee state licenses, including applications and progress tracking.
• Initiates malpractice carrier enrollment; ensures coverage prior to practice start.
• Builds and maintains provider profiles in the CMD credentialing database.
• Performs 90-day CAQH re-attestations to maintain payer and compliance requirements.
• Builds NPPEs (National Provider Profile Enrollment System) sites as part of onboarding.
• Manages provider license renewals, DEA renewals, and submissions to agencies.
• Tracks CME requirements for licensing and DEA renewal.
• Provides reporting on license/DEA renewal timelines and CME completion status.
• Serves as primary resource for onboarding, licensing, and CME compliance.
• Coordinates with credentialing, compliance, and payer enrollment teams to align provider information.
• Performs other duties to support onboarding and compliance.
