Job summary

AltaMed Health Services is seeking a Health Plan Provider Operations Specialist in Montebello, CA. The role focuses on maintaining provider data and managing paneling operations across the Altura network, ensuring alignment with contracts and organizational goals.

You will coordinate with health plans and internal teams, perform compliance reviews, and support training initiatives to minimize risk and improve performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or relevant work experience required.
• Minimum of 1 year of credentialing and/or provider relations experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of interaction with multiple health plans preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience using SQL databases preferred.
• Knowledge of managed care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain provider data and Health Plan paneling across the Altura network.
• Monitor, validate, and implement standard paneling procedures.
• Act as liaison between AltaMed and health plans for provider network changes.
• Ensure quality of contracts from the Contracting department and support audits and process compliance.
