Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Medicaid & CHIP Services seeks a Provider Enrollment (PE) Manager to lead the PE unit. The PE Manager reports to the Director of Provider Enrollment and oversees staff, policies, and systems for provider enrollment and revalidation.

The role emphasizes collaboration, integrity, and accountability across internal and external stakeholders. Ideal candidates bring strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and experience in Medicaid/provider

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in public administration, public policy, business administration, health care administration, social work, communications, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a management role that includes supervising staff.
• At least 3 years of experience working in Medicaid or related health services programs.
• Experience delivering technical and non-technical presentations to varied audiences.
• Experience responding to formal inquiries such as legislative requests, audits, open records requests, and executive correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires, manages, trains staff; conducts evaluations and provides feedback.
• Oversees day-to-day operations, monitors compliance, and reviews performance metrics.
• Provides strategic analysis to improve performance and ensures program compliance with mandates.
• Manages projects, allocates resources, and reports status to leadership.
• Represents the program in presentations and coordinates with stakeholders and agencies.
