Job Opening: Data Analyst in Healthcare Industry

Location: Remote (must work 8-5 pm PST)

Employment Type: 4.5-month contract

Pay: $30/hr

Job Description

The ideal candidate will leverage data analytics to improve healthcare operations, optimize processes, and support decision-making. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and interpreting healthcare data to identify trends, improve patient outcomes, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze healthcare data sets to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
2. Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Excel, SQL, and BI platforms.
3. Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to support data-driven decision-making.
4. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA).
5. Perform quality assurance and validation on data models and reporting outputs.
6. Support performance improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or related field.
2. 2+ years of experience in healthcare data analysis or related role.
3. Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
4. Strong understanding of healthcare terminology, billing systems, and regulatory requirements.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare, Medicaid, or managed care guidelines.
