Job summary

AdventHealth seeks a strategic professional to lead provider compensation initiatives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will develop compensation models, manage governance processes, and ensure accurate payments while collaborating with legal, compliance, and finance teams to meet regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to educate VPs, Directors, and Providers on compensation changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Accounting or business.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 2+ years in healthcare finance/accounting is required.
• Experience with provider compensation preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and APMs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development/implementation of strategic initiatives for provider compensation.
• Manage physician compensation models and service line development.
• Participate in Provider Compensation Governance Committee.
• Ensure timely/accurate physician call payments and annual template updates.
• Collaborate with legal, management, compliance, and finance to support regulatory requirements.

Job Description

• Leads the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for provider compensation.
• Manages physician compensation models, including planning acquisitions and service line development.
• Participates in the Provider Compensation Governance Committee for Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Ensures all physician call payments are made timely and accurately, and updates call template invoices yearly.
• Works with hospital on the Master Call Agreement and ensures Medical Director payments are according to the contract.
• Aids in the development, monitoring, and production of automated calculations and reporting dashboards.
• Conducts annual analytical reviews of each employed provider’s pay structure to deliver a fair market value plan that meets Commercial Reasonableness Testing.
• Collaborates with AHSPE in CR Watchlist activities and coordinates reporting and monitoring of Action Plans for CR and FMV.
• Identifies areas of potential risk and under-performance, coordinating action plans in collaboration with leadership.
• Monitors and manages any overpayments in provider compensation with leadership.
• Calculates the financial impact of new compensation plans.
• Communicates effectively and works collaboratively with legal services, management, compliance, internal audit, and finance to support regulatory and business requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
