HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater is seeking a Provider Assistant to perform patient care duties, document medical information, and administer medications and vaccinations in a clinical setting. You will help obtain medical histories and vital signs and support timely clinic services.
The role requires completing an accredited Medical Assistant program or current LPN/EMT credentials, plus CPR certification. Experience with Epic EMR is preferred and strong communication skills are essential.
As a provider assistant at HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater, you are responsible for a variety of patient care duties and other related duties in the clinical setting that include documentation of medical information, administration of medications/vaccinations and treatments, as well as obtaining medical histories, vital signs, etc. The provider assistant assists the healthcare providers in the timely delivery of services per physician/RN direction and according to Clinic policies and procedures. All programs and activities are designed to support the short- and long-term mission, vision, goals, and objectives of HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater.
PLUS current CPR certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
All candidates should have excellent verbal and written skills; excellent customer services skills; tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions with patients, families, and care team members; An ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in all interactions; Understanding of patient education needs, able to effectively share information with patient, family members and care team members as needed; Ability to learn, retain information regarding patient care procedures; Ability to plan, prioritize and complete delegated tasks; Ability to remain calm in stressful situation; Experience with Epic preferred.
