Job summary

Medix in Minnesota seeks a Provider Assistant (Medical Assistant / LPN / EMT) to deliver compassionate patient care in our clinic. This role welcomes new grads and seasoned professionals and emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and patient-centered service.

You will escort patients, record vitals and medical history, assist with examinations, document in EPIC, and support safety and confidentiality. Flexible, part-time to full-time shifts are available, with typical Mon–Fri schedules and opportunities

Qualifications

• LPN or EMT licensed to practice in MN.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Experience in a clinical setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vitals and medical history.
• Assist providers with examinations and nursing tasks in a clinical setting.
• Document all patient care in EPIC in a timely manner.
• Support safety, confidentiality, and patient rights during care.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Day to Day:

Escort patients to exam rooms, prepare them for provider visits, and obtain and document vital signs, chief complaints, and relevant medical history.

Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments by providing hands-on clinical support and nursing care in accordance with the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, professional standards, and clinic policies.

Accurately and thoroughly document all patient care and clinical activities in the EPIC electronic medical record system in a timely manner.

Promote patient safety, confidentiality, and patient rights while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Collaborate effectively with providers and clinical staff to support various clinic functions, demonstrating flexibility, professionalism, and strong teamwork.

Provide efficient, detail-oriented patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining accuracy and compassion.

Qualifications:

• ORLPN in the state of MN
• OREMT in the state of MN
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or Red Cross
