Job summary

RFA Engineering in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking an Assembly Technician II (Wire Harnesses) to join our prototype shop. You will assemble electrical harnesses in a non-repetitive environment, trained to handle a variety of harness designs.

You’ll work with engineers to learn processes, read blueprints, and apply tools from screwdrivers to soldering. This role can be full-time with benefits and may consider part-time for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or better.
• Willingness to learn harness assembly in a prototype environment.
• Ability to read and interpret harnessing prints and BOM.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical harnesses according to engineering specs and BOM.
• Use standard hand tools and machines for assembly.
• Learn processes quickly and become independent with growing proficiency.
• Interpret sketches, notes and input from engineers to produce accurate harnesses.
• Read detailed harnessing prints and BOM, ensuring dimensional accuracy.
• Run testing software and troubleshoot as needed.
• Document discrepancies on prints and communicate with engineers.
