Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent with two years of employment experience required.
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license in the state of residence and ability to meet Latitude AI's minimum driving record requirements
• Ability to pass ten-panel drug screening and criminal background checks
• Comfortable spending long hours driving and working in close quarters with others
• Strong interest in technology, adapting quickly to challenges and embracing changes
• Technical Proficiency with Computers; knowledge of terminal commands and GitHub
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to identify issues with both software and hardware
• Proficient in work management tools like Jira, Slack, Driver Schedule
• Contributes to a positive and professional work environment while working with people from diverse backgrounds
• Takes initiative to resolve issues and make decisions independently
• Actively seeks out opportunities and takes ownership without needing direction
• Curiosity and excitement about learning new technologies

Responsibilities

• Drive test vehicles for long-distance local missions (up to 300-400 miles) and select travel missions across the U.S.
• Perform daily start-up, engagement, disengagement, and shutdown procedures for development vehicles
• Execute testing in accordance with strict safety and compliance protocols
• Represent the organization professionally while driving in public environments and prioritize safety
• Demonstrate expertise across all development stages from early software/hardware testing to mature systems
• Provide leadership through performance and culture of safety
• Deliver coaching, feedback, and support to team members
• Oversee and direct activities of a small shift or group when needed
• Travel (including air) as required
• Diagnose in-depth physical and operational issues using creative problem solving
• Communicate with cross-functional teams on architecture, sensor and compute control systems
• Follow work instructions to support prototype build events and report integration progress
• Assemble, modify, and repair prototype assets using hand tools and computer software
• Work individually or in small teams to complete troubleshooting with engineering teams
• Document configuration management, diagnostic events, and asset health
• Document prototype build changes and schedule developmental modifications
• Analyze performance with a product-focused lens for software, engineering, and consumer needs
