Latitude AI seeks a Technical Vehicle Test Operator for a contractor role in Long Beach, CA. You will drive test vehicles on long-distance and local missions, perform start-up and shutdown procedures, and execute tests under strict safety procedures.

You will work with a cross-functional team to advance autonomous driving tech, document findings, and support engineers across software and hardware integration in diverse environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with two years of employment experience required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of residence and ability to meet driving record requirements.
• Ability to pass ten-panel drug screening and background checks.
• Comfortable spending long hours driving and working in close quarters.
• Technical proficiency with computers and navigation of command-line interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Drive test vehicles for long-distance local missions (up to 300-400 miles) and multi-day trips across the U.S.
• Perform daily start-up, engagement, disengagement, and shutdown procedures for development vehicles
• Execute testing in accordance with safety and compliance protocols
• Represent the organization professionally while driving in public environments
• Demonstrate expertise across development stages from early testing to mature systems
• Provide coaching and support to team members and oversee small shift activities if needed
