Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking a Prototype Center Assembly Technician to join our engineering team to assemble prototype combat vehicles and systems in support of project schedules and quality targets. This role involves reading blueprints, working with engineers, and performing heavy assembly of major vehicle subsystems.

The candidate should have 5+ years of experience in prototype component and vehicle assembly, diesel/heavy vehicle experience, and proficiency with hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 5+ years in prototype component assembly and vehicle assembly
• Diesel engine/mechanic or heavy vehicle assembly experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering documents
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, drills, grinders
• Safety-conscious with a proven safety record
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changes

Responsibilities

• Assemble AR's combat vehicle prototypes and systems per specifications
• Interpret design drawings and work instructions to complete assemblies
• Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment to perform assembly tasks
• Collaborate with teammates to meet schedules, budgets, and quality expectations
• Maintain safety standards and uphold company values of integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement
