Job summary

Amogy seeks a Technical Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist II to build a supplier ecosystem for ammonia-to-power technology. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in technical procurement, supply chain planning, sourcing, supplier management, inventory management, material planning, NPI, or commercialization of engineered products.
  • Experience identifying and qualifying suppliers through prototype, pilot, development, first-article, or NPI builds and transitioning learnings to contract manufacturers or outsourced manufacturing partners.
  • Ability to interpret BOMs, drawings, specifications, datasheets, statements of work, engineering changes, supplier quotes, inspection requirements, certificates, and technical documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of RFQs, bid analysis, negotiations, purchase orders, commercial terms, supplier performance management, corrective actions, documentation control, and ERP/MRP systems, NetSuite preferred.
  • Develop and manage supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, responsiveness, cost competitiveness, and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Experience managing inventory, material planning, MRP signals, demand forecasting, safety stock strategies, and material readiness for engineering and production environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholder management, and supplier escalations in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify equipment suppliers, fabricators, technical service providers, and sources for custom and off-the-shelf equipment, skids, vessels, instrumentation, controls, electrical assemblies, process equipment, MRO materials, and technical services aligned with Amogy's product roadmap and contract-manufacturing scale-up.
  • Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP activities, bid analysis, supplier selection, and award recommendations based on technical fit, capacity, certifications, quality systems, total cost, lead time, serviceability, and scalability.
  • Partner with Engineering and Quality to define source-controlled items, qualification criteria, preferred and dual sources, acceptance requirements, inspection documentation, and supplier technical deliverables.
  • Maintain approved supplier lists, supplier scorecards, risk maps, source-control logic, and supplier development, conditional approval, or disqualification decisions.
  • Procure materials, equipment, fabricated assemblies, and technical services for internal prototype and development builds used to validate supplier capability before contract-manufacturing launch.
  • Translate BOMs, drawings, specifications, datasheets, statements of work, and engineering changes into supplier bid packages, purchase orders, first-article requirements, and technical documentation requests.
  • Coordinate supplier participation in trial orders, fit checks, inspections, test support, documentation reviews, nonconformance resolution, corrective actions, substitutions, and post-build lessons learned.
