Job summary

EquipmentShare is hiring an Engineering Technician III at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO. You will work with engineers to create prototype devices from sketches and CAD drawings for review and testing.

Ideal candidates bring mechanical aptitude, classroom/technical training, and 4–6 years of fabrication/prototype experience. The role offers opportunities to contribute to safety, efficiency, and innovation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with understanding of gears, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to identify root causes.
• Basic computer skills for data analysis and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in creating, modifying and testing products and processes.
• Conduct extensive research and development during product development phases.
• Inspect products and processes for flaws and improvement opportunities.
• Use CAD/Drafting tools during design and prototyping phases.
• Set up, maintain and calibrate equipment; ensure safe operation.
