Autocar, LLC in Hagerstown, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Technician responsible for the manufacture and assembly of prototype and testing vehicles, systems, and components. You will install parts, validate assemblies, and collaborate with design engineers to realize prototypes.

Periodic travel to customer sites may be required to support test and evaluation activities. We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, a 401(k) with 4% company match, and 8 paid

Competenze

• One to two years related experience and/or training.
• Heavy truck vehicle knowledge is a plus.
• Fabrication knowledge and process experience is desirable.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Truck manufacturing build/process experience is desirable.

Mansioni

• Assemble prototype, engineering, validation, and special build vehicles.
• Install and validate parts and components on engineering vehicles.
• Provide feedback to design engineers on BOMs, installation, validation, and maintenance issues.
• Work with design engineers to create prototype parts when prints are unavailable.
• Manufacture prototype parts and special tools.
• Assist with fabrication, assembly, modification and debugging of test systems.
• Perform simple electrical assembly and harness work.
• Support production initiatives by implementing new designs to the line.
• Travel to customer locations or test sites as needed.
