Job summary

Reliant Systems, Inc. in Minnesota seeks an Engineering Technician to support prototype builds and solve complex electromechanical problems. You will tune controllers and drives for full system solutions and collaborate with mechanical design and production teams to ensure successful builds.

This role emphasizes hands-on testing, data collection for continuous improvement, and thorough documentation. Strong troubleshooting, programming ability, and precision measurement skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 5+ years related production experience.
• Associate degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred.
• Laser Interferometry Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prototype machine prototyping, tool design and build, and test plan development.
• Define motion profiles with customers and integrate, program, test systems.
• Design/review electronics for prototypes and production, including boards and cables.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specs.
• Maintain documentation and test reports; ensure cleanliness of work area.
• Collaborate with supervision on progress and continuous improvement data.
