Hydrogen Group is seeking a Prototype Trim Technician for the Seat Laboratory in Irvine, CA. This onsite, 6-month contract role focuses on precise cutting, sewing, and assembly of seat trim components as part of the full seat build process.

You will read patterns, operate industrial sewing machines, use cutting tools, and participate in trials and engineering changes. Strong attention to detail and experience with automotive interiors are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in seat trim sewing or automotive interiors.
• Ability to cut and sew complex trim patterns to tight tolerances.
• Experience assembling complete seats from components.

Responsibilities

• Read patterns, layouts and work instructions.
• Cut fabric, leather, vinyl to specification.
• Sew seat trim components on industrial machines.
• Assemble seats and verify fit and finish.
• Perform in-process quality checks and document results.
