Job summary

Actalent is seeking a highly motivated R&D Engineering Technician to support the development of innovative medical products in Irvine, CA. This contract role focuses on prototype development, testing, and validation, with independence under engineering guidance and coordination of 1–3 technicians.

Hands‑on experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, and sensor‑based systems is preferred. You will build fixtures, run protocols, assemble subsystems, analyze results, and collaborate with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical training with relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience building prototypes from schematics and drawings.
• Familiarity with lab tools, test methods, and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and support R&D test fixtures per specifications; provide design feedback.
• Design, document, and improve test protocols and processes.
• Execute test protocols with minimal supervision; document results.
• Assemble prototype systems; contribute to design enhancements.
• Present findings and recommendations to project teams.
• Collaborate with vendors and manufacturing for assembly and troubleshooting.
• Source components and materials to support development efforts.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, software aspects with guidance.
• Maintain organized lab and manage multiple priorities.
