Job summary

ROUSH in Livonia, MI is seeking a Prototype Project Manager II to lead the project team from planning through execution, ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. This role partners with cross-functional groups to coordinate subcontractors and manage budgets.

The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of project coordination experience, strong mentoring and presentation skills, and expert MS Office capabilities. Travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 7 years of project coordination experience.
• Experience mentoring and leading others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to host presentations.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel formulas), Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and stay organized.
• Ability to interpret customer requests and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Manage, train, coach, and mentor team members.
• Direct and manage coordination groups for subcontractors.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee coordinator activities and monitor project status.
• Develop and execute large project plans.
• Complete milestones on time, on budget and with quality.
• Collect data from customers, suppliers, BOM and other resources to compile reports.
• Manage day-to-day build operations supporting department management.
• Review project status daily and report progress.
• Manage continuous quality improvement activities.

As a Prototype Project Manager ll, you will:

• Manage, train, coach, and mentor team related to their job responsibilities
• Direct and manage coordination groups that assign goals for subcontractors
• Plan, schedule, and oversee coordinator activities and monitor project status
• Develop and execute large project plans
• Complete milestones on time, on budget and with quality
• Collect data from customers, suppliers, Bill of Material, and other resources to compile presentations and reports
• Manage day-to-day build operations supporting department management
• Review project status daily and report percentage of completion
• Manage the execution of continuous quality improvement activities

To be considered as a Prototype Project Manager ll, you will need:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 7 years of project coordination experience
• Experience mentoring and leading others
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, very detail oriented and able to effectively host presentations
• Great customer service skills, reliable attendance, and ability to work overtime
• Advanced MS Office skills, specifically with Excel including formulas, Word, PowerPoint
• Ability to lead and work with different cross functional teams and have excellent organizational skills
• Good ability to interpret customer requests and deliverables

A successful candidate may also have:

• Associate degree in Business or related
• Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends
