Job summary

Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. (ACT) in York is seeking a Prototype Mechanical Engineering Technician for planning, assembly, and troubleshooting of first-time builds and low-volume production orders. The role collaborates with Engineering to determine optimal assembly sequences and support future production.

ACT offers a 4-day work week with possible overtime on Fridays; typical schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• US Person required due to ITAR restrictions.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certificate from a technical school or minimum of 3 years related experience.
• Ability to read calipers / tape measure.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and other technical documentation.
• Hands-on fabrication and troubleshooting of assembly processes and test stands.
• Adhere to safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication and testing of prototype hardware/assemblies.
• Supporting generation and development of work instructions/procedures.
• Maintaining a Safety-First work environment.
• Following common engineering planning & execution documentation (e.g. Travelers, work instructions, procedures).
• Maintaining documentation through manufacturing and flow to preserve product pedigree.
• Working cohesively with a diverse group of engineers and technicians.
• Maintaining high quality of work and product.
• Must be dedicated to performing quality work and strongly detail-oriented.
