Job summary

Sparton DeLeon Springs, LLC is seeking an experienced machinist to create and assemble tooling and parts from metal and plastic according to CAD drawings and specifications. The role involves operating shop equipment, performing basic repairs, and ensuring production tooling readiness for manufacturing lines.

The ideal candidate will read engineering drawings, have basic 3D modeling awareness, and maintain a safe, efficient work area in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Associate's degree preferred or equivalent technical training.
• Knowledge of a 3D modeling package and CNC machining practices and set-up are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, shear, brake, band saw, grinder, drill).
• Form, bend, and machine metal and plastic materials.
• Fabricate and assemble production tooling, fixtures, and prototype parts.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and SolidWorks drawings.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
