Job summary

WillowWood Global LLC in Ohio is seeking a fabrication technician to support the R&D team in hands-on execution of project tasks. You will work with Engineers on prototype products, test devices, and tooling, troubleshooting development issues as they arise.

The role emphasizes hands-on fabrication, machining of prototypes, and assisting with experiments to evaluate processes. You will train production personnel on new products and processes and help transition from development to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills are required.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to get along with others and work in a team atmosphere.
• Experience using manual or CNC machine shop equipment.
• Experience programming and setup of CNC machines is a plus.
• Experience using metal fabrication equipment is a plus.
• Experience with mold fabrication and use is preferred.
• Experience with thermoplastic or thermoset resin and elastomer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute hands-on tasks assigned by Engineering Team
• Fabrication and machining of prototype parts and tooling
• Assist in the design and implementation of experiments to evaluate prototype products and processes.
• Collaborate as part of a team to brainstorm and test prototype products & processes.
• Document fabrication techniques and quality testing methods for training and transfer of development products and processes.
• Assist with the transition from development to manufacturing by providing training to production personnel on new products and processes.
• General housekeeping of work areas.
• Other duties as required.
