Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking an R&D Engineering Technician to support prototype fabrication for new product and customer development. You will handle materials processing, machining, lapping, equipment operation, data collection and reporting, inspection, and assembly.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or lab environment.
• Familiar with processing, furnaces, CNC machines, and CMMs.
• Knowledge of assembly operations and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, track and report projects for prototype fabrication.
• Develop and improve processing methods for inorganic composites.
• Characterize material properties and document results.
• Operate thermal processing equipment and CNC machinery as needed.
• Transfer successful products to manufacturing with documentation.
