Job summary

Qnity's Silicon Valley Technology Center in Sunnyvale seeks an Associate Engineer specialized in prototyping and fabrication to join a dynamic, on-site engineering team. You will lead fabrication components, apply advanced methods, and contribute to rapid prototyping and testing across diverse projects.

The role requires a B.S. in mechanical engineering or equivalent, hands-on lab experience with fabrication tools, and proficiency with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with hands-on training.
• 1-3 years of hands-on lab fabrication experience preferred.
• Experience with basic shop tools and with CNC mill/3D printers.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, especially SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Lead fabrication projects and assist in prototyping and testing.
• Perform tasks involving 3D printing, CNC milling, routing, and lamination.
• Work with engineers to support a broad project portfolio including characterization.
• Basic data analysis and strong teamwork in a fast-paced lab environment.
• Maintain organization and document results for projects.
