Job summary

MKS Instruments, in the Spectra-Physics division, seeks a Technical Associate R&D to join Core Engineering to develop electronics assemblies for laser products. You will report to the Head of Electrical Engineering and contribute to cutting-edge hardware development.

You will transform schematics into prototypes, verify tests, troubleshoot at component level, and maintain our lab equipment and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or equivalent technical experience.
• Minimum 6+ years of related experience.
• Advanced soldering skills.
• Proficiency in manual cable assembly and lab equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and CAD/ECAD software for minor design adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and solder high-precision prototypes.
• Plan and execute verification tests.
• Troubleshoot and root-cause analysis at component level.
• Own and maintain laboratory infrastructure and equipment.
