Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Associate Degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, schematics, procedures, and work instructions preferred.
• Troubleshooting and repair experience with electrical and electromechanical systems preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Experience using electrical and laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, microscopes, x-ray systems, environmental chambers, and related diagnostic tools preferred.
• Ability to create Standard Operating Procedure documentation and lab best practices.
• Ability to understand, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with equipment and processes.
• Experience with electrical assembly techniques, including soldering, crimping, wiring, and cable management preferred.
• Exposure to programming, automation, or test software tools such as Python, LabVIEW, PLCs, or scripting languages preferred.
• Ability to read PCB schematics and layouts.
• Soldering certification beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of products, systems, and equipment to design, build, test, maintain, and repair them.
• Perform reliability and environmental testing on electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Design and rework cable and wire harnesses for testing and debugging.
• Solder components for PCBA prototype testing and support debugging by component rework.
• Set up tests, record data, and support engineering analysis.
• Operate lab equipment such as environmental chambers, microscopes, oscilloscopes, x-ray systems.
• Install and maintain test fixtures.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Support lab operations and calibration scheduling.
• Maintain lab organization and inventory.
