Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking a proactive Electrical Engineering Technician to support the build and installation of wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and rack hardware for test labs. You will ensure documentation accuracy and contribute to cross-team collaboration on development goals.

The role requires hands-on experience with harness assembly, IPC standard compliance, and a strong focus on quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HVAC/vehicle electrical system knowledge is preferred.
• Experience building and troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems in early development stages.
• 2+ years in automotive/aerospace/industrial harness assembly and light fabrication.
• Ability to verify against BOM and maintain build hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Build prototype and small-batch harnesses and cable assemblies per drawings and BOM.
• Crimp, strip, and solder to IPC standards; ensure high QA targets.
• Install rack infrastructure per layout drawings including power, data, airflow.
• Join design reviews to flag drawing-build discrepancies and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers and lab techs on safety checks, software load, and debugging.
