Job summary

TPG is seeking a motivated Prototype Diesel Technician to support heavy vehicle testing, performance and maintenance in Commerce City, CO. The role involves testing, repairs on pre-production test vehicles, safety inspections, and documenting findings clearly.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of heavy-duty diesel experience, CDL Class A preferred, and a clean driving record. Strong diagnostic and data-recording skills, willingness to travel, and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of heavy-duty diesel technician experience.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL Class A preferred.
• Willing to travel as needed.
• Strong safety and quality focus.
• Ability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform instructed tests and repairs with great attention to detail
• Document tests, repairs, and configurations in descriptive and understandable notes
• Fabricate and install instrumentation as required to perform tests
• Must be flexible and willing to travel and/or drive a tractor-trailer for full shifts when needed
• Other duties as assigned; cleaning shop, oil changes, engine overhauls, driving, etc.
