Job summary

Technical Professionals Group is seeking a Test Technician to join our Greensboro, NC team. You will install and maintain instrumentation for testing, assist in truck setup, and support test plans alongside engineers. Strong mechanical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

You will document observations, communicate findings, and help ensure safety during tests. A technical background and willingness to travel offsite are preferred in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to test plans, modules, and routes.
  • Demonstrate situational awareness and safety judgment.
  • Perform temporary repairs to prevent downtime during testing.
  • Familiarize with all vehicle systems and operations.
  • Proficiently use devices for documentation and communication.

Test Technician Key Responsibilities

  • Flexibility to test offsite and travel as needed.
  • Positive and professional demeanor.
Education And Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the automotive or transportation industry is advantageous.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • CDL license Benificial
Physical, Safety And Environmental Job Requirements
  • Standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, carrying and moving items of up to 50 lbs. and more
  • Able to go up and down the stairs
  • Ability to perform essential job functions in an environment with varied noise levels
  • The environment may be dusty, noisy and open to interior temperature changes
