Job summary

Technical Professionals Group is seeking a motivated Prototype Diesel Technician to support heavy vehicle testing, performance and maintenance in Commerce City, CO. You will perform maintenance and repairs on pre-production test vehicles, conduct safety inspections and document findings clearly in reports.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of heavy-duty diesel experience, familiarity with diagnostic software and data collection devices, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years of heavy-duty diesel technician experience.
• Ability to perform annual safety inspections on CMVs.
• Willing to travel for test validation; weekends/overtime if needed.
• Proficient with diagnostic software and able to learn new platforms.
• Valid driver's license; CDL Class A preferred but not required.
• Strong safety and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform instructed tests and repairs with great attention to detail.
• Document tests, repairs, and configurations in descriptive and understandable notes.
• Fabricate and install instrumentation as required to perform tests.
• Must be flexible and willing to travel and/or drive a tractor-trailer for full shifts when needed.
• Other duties as assigned; cleaning shop, oil changes, engine overhauls, driving, etc.
